YouTube Taste Local processes the following information locally on the user's device to provide its features:

• YouTube video IDs, titles, channels, and video duration
• Viewing behavior such as watch time, completion rate, quick exits, and replays
• Manual feedback entered by the user, such as More or Less
• Extension settings
• Learning scores generated locally from the information above

2. Purpose

This information is used only to score and adjust YouTube video recommendations based on the user's preferences.

3. Storage

Information is stored locally on the user's device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local. It is not stored on a server operated by the developer.

4. Data transmission and sharing

The extension does not transmit, sell, or share the processed information with the developer or third-party servers. It is not used for advertising, user profiling, or market research.

5. Deleting information

Users can delete watch history, learned data, or all stored data from the extension settings. Removing the extension also removes its local data according to Chrome's standard behavior.

6. Permissions

• storage: Stores settings, feedback, and learning data locally on the device.
• https://www.youtube.com/*: Reads video recommendations and viewing state on YouTube to score and adjust recommendation display.

7. Security

The extension is designed to operate with minimal permissions and does not transmit the processed data to external servers.

8. Changes to this policy

If the information processed or the extension's features change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated. Material changes may also be communicated within the extension when appropriate.
